San Francisco Latinx Democratic Club

The San Francisco Latinx Democratic Club (“LDC”) announces the initiation of an investigation in response to recent serious allegations involving sexual misconduct by LDC’s president that were referenced in a news article published on Friday, July 5, 2024. As a result, LDC’s president is on a leave of absence. 

We are extremely concerned about these allegations which the LDC is investigating with the utmost urgency. We reiterate our dedication to a thorough and fair review, protecting the rights of all individuals involved. We are committed to ending sexual violence and upholding the highest standards of integrity to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all our members.

Currently, there is no universal standard for conducting such investigations of sexual misconduct within democratic clubs. The LDC has been active in helping to create a standardized process with other political organizations and stakeholders in San Francisco. The LDC will be implementing this code of conduct process into our bylaws once completed.

In accordance with our current bylaws and parliamentary review process, the LDC will form a special investigation committee to examine these matters comprehensively. This committee will be composed of members of the club who are dedicated to conducting a fair and transparent investigation. The safety, confidentiality, and well-being of all parties involved are our top priorities.

We understand the importance of addressing these concerns and their impact on our community. As we proceed with this investigation, we ask for patience and support from our members and the public. The LDC will continue to provide updates as appropriate, while maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of all parties involved.

El partido (“San Francisco Latinx Democratic Club” o “LDC”) anuncia el comienzo de un investigación como una respuesta a las acusaciones graves que se habían publicado en un artículo que involucran conducta sexual inapropiada por el presidente de LDC. En consecuencia, el presidente de LDC está en excedencia. 

Nosotros estamos muy preocupados sobre estas acusaciones que LDC está investigando como una prioridad urgente. Nosotros subrayamos nuestra dedicación a un examen exhaustivo y justo que protege todos los derechos de los individuos involucrados. Estamos comprometidos a cesar la violencia sexual mientras defendemos los estándares más altos de integridad para grantizar un entorno seguro y respetuoso para todos nuestros miembros.

Ahora, no existe un estandar o regla universal para realizar este tipo de investigaciones de conducta sexual inapropiada entre clubes democráticos. LDC ha ayudado activamente a hacer un proceso estandarizado con otras organizaciones políticas y partes interesadas en San Francisco. LDC implementará este proceso del código de conducta en nuestros estatutos una vez finalizado.

De acuerdo con nuestros estatutos actuales y el proceso de revisión parlamentaria, LDC formará un comité de investigación especial para examinar estos asuntos de una manera integral. Este comité estará compuesto por miembros del club que se dedican a realizar una investigación justa y transparente. La seguridad, la confidencialidad y el bienestar de todas las partes involucradas son nuestras principales prioridades.
